Bills 2010 Film Review: Week 15 At Miami (First Half)
One thing that really sticks out to me is how sloppy the Bills are in almost all of these games.
The Bills really need to follow the Patriots model of don’t beat yourself. If a play isn’t there don’t force it. Make teams beat you – don’t beat yourself.
It is a simple philosophy that is tough to implement but it’s very important to success
The one featured in the picture…one of the nicest timed passes by the Bills all year. It’s throws like these that make it OK with me to start Fitzy this year. If he sees a possibility, he’s gonna make a play for it. I know that leads to his mistakes, too, but it’s much more entertaining than the previous QB. Plus the players love Fitzy (maybe the most important.)
Reading these recaps, and trying to identify trends, the fact that 85% of the whole offense is so young and that there is so many missed blocks, lack of shedding blocks etc… penalties up and down the line by everyone is really the biggest area for improvement. These guys need to get on the field and play. Fitz is going to make his mistakes, but he will come back out and give you hope on the next play, possession and game. This is why the players, coaches and fans are growing in support to him. He too, needs to play more, he too needs develop more chemistry, leadership and eventually wins. Just like the negotiations, it is all a process.
