Salvatore Ferragamo teams up with Bulgari for jewellery line
The design of the collection reflects the brand’s heritage and plays with its most celebrated symbols and icons, using materials such as silver and gold and precious and semi-precious stones. The range will be available from October in a limited number of stores specially selected from among the company’s most important retail outlets worldwide, starting with the European, US, Japan, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Speaking about the collaboration with Bulgari, and Ferragamo’s brand extension, chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo said: “The development of a jewellery collection represents an extraordinary opportunity for us to extend and enrich our range with a product able to put the spotlight on our brand’s values of exclusivity, craftsmanship and ‘made in Italy’.”
He added: “Our brand strategy has always been to undertake projects that have an affinity with our identity. The decision to enter the jewellery business resulted from the opportunity to work with Gianni Bulgari, one of the great names in Italian and international jewellery, a recognised authority in this sector with the know-how and ability necessary to translate our Maison’s DNA.
