— Four educators of Anderson School District 5 were recently inducted into the Theta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International located in Anderson. This group was organized by “women educators in 1929 who believed there was a need to unite in efforts toward better professional preparation, recognition of women’s work in the teaching profession and scholarships for those needing aid in improving their professional preparation.Membership is by invitation only and considered a prestigious honor with a variety of benefits and privileges. This organization currently has a membership of over 135,000 in 3,000 chapters in 14 countries that are impacting education worldwide.”
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International members of Theta Chapter include educators in both private and public sectors from K-12; college; administrators and supervisors. Selection is based on professional qualifications, leadership potential and personal qualities. Service activities include collecting school supplies for South Carolina schools in the “Corridor of Shame”; Student Grant; Christmas shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse; food for an Anderson Food Bank; and materials for the AnMed Pediatric Unit.

Stuffed Suits - Corridor of Shame - Its no coincidence
South Carolina's Corridor of Shame, the collection of counties on each side of Interstate 95, is well-known as the Corridor of Shame. When it comes to education, unemployment, income and just about every economic factor, this area solidifies itself as the least favorable area in South Carolina to live and work.
As you can see from the map below, over 90% of the Corridor of Shame is in the 6th Congressional District represented for the last 19 years by James Clyburn [D]
King James is not the only Democrat representing this area.

As you can see, the Corridor of Shame is overwhelmingly represented by Democrats from Washington to the SC Senate and the SC House.
I'd suggest starting at the root of the problem next election. You might just find that the guy you've been putting into office so long is the one keeping you down.

Kershaw County or at least the eastern part should be added to the corridor. Vincent SheHeen,D Senator, Lori Funderback, D Rep. and of course the lobbiest Mia Butler, D Rep. Vincent works hard pushing bills that make it easier for his law firm to win SS and WC cases and when they get to the floor he excuses himself from the vote due to conflict of interest. He votes less than half the time. If it was'nt for Richland County being right beside Kershaw county we would be in the same shape as orangeburg. Democrats have controlled the Camden area for 50 years and it shows up with empty storefronts on beutiful public works projects paid for by higher taxes. Camden has been a dieing city for a long time and it is no coinciedence that Democrats have been in control of the decline. Democrats think the government can and must do everything for the people and the result shows in the corridor of shame. Thanks guys for proving that if you let government do it the result is misery for all.
