Disney's magic undergoes changes

In the last few years and months, the Disneyland Resort has been in a time of change. There have been construction walls put up in almost every area of the park adding and updating attractions and shows.

And there is still more to come.

Here's a look at some of the changes in both Disneyland and California Adventure in the past months.

DISNEYLAND Jan. 28, 2011 - The light show "The Magic, the Memories and You!" starts showing on the front of "It's a Small World." The show features clips of Disneyland's history as well as photos of guests taken earlier in the day.

March 25 - Using the usually empty Festival Arena, Disney created a "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" sneak peek experience where guests can view a 3-D clip of the film and interact with live pirates.

May 13 - "It's a Small World" exhibit opens in the Disney Gallery featuring art from artist Mary Blair. The exhibit will include pieces that inspired the classic Disneyland ride.

May 20 - The villain of the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" film, Blackbeard, is added to the Pirates ride. He temporarily replaces Davey Jones, whose face appears in the misty waterfall.

May 27 - Soundsational parade debuts bringing beloved characters Mickey Mouse and Mary Poppins alongside upbeat music with live drummers. Giant floats also make an appearance with characters from "The Princess and the Frog" and "The Little Mermaid."

June 3 - Star Tours: The Adventure Continues opens, giving riders more than 50 possible 3-D adventures to famed "Star Wars" locations like Tatooine and Hoth. CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE Oct. 8, 2010 - Each weekend after dark, The Hollywood Backlot area of California Adventure transforms into the world of "TRON" with ElecTRONica. The experience includes live performers, dancing, drinks, a full use Flynn's Arcade and special 3-D preview of "TRON Legacy." ElecTRONica is expected to continue through Labor Day.

Oct. 14 - Duffy the Disney Bear debuts in California Adventure. In Japan, the stuffed animal is extremely popular with people normally waiting hours in long lines to get new outfits and accessories.
